Verse 1 gives us the time marker, being the 15th day of the new moon, the second new moon.

They complained of hunger, Yahovah told Moses that day, that at evening quails would come, and in the morning (which is the 16th) manna would come.

Quails came at even because flesh preparation is work, which is prohibited on the shabat. And requires building a fire to cook the flesh, and would break the sanctity of the Shabat.

Verse 5 tells us that on the 6th day of the falling of the manna, there would be twice as much as they gather daily.

Verse 22 tells us that the prophecy of verse 5 came to pass, and they gathered on the sixth day twice as much.

Verse 23 continues on the 6th day, saying "Yahovah hath said, To-morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto Yahovah: bake that which ye will bake to-day, and boil that ye will boil; and that which remaineth over, lay up for you to be kept until the morning."

15th is sabbath, no quails till evening, 16th 1st day of manna, 17th 2nd day of manna, 18th 3rd day of manna, 19th 4th day of manna, 20th 5th day of manna, 21st 6th day of manna, 22nd 7th day sabbath, no manna. Eat of the double portion that fell on the 6th day, and which bred no larvae overnight.

Remember on Passover night, they were to get rid of that which remaineth until the morning of the 15th. that is they were to dispose of the flesh of the Lamb, and not eat any of it on the 15th, which begins at sunrise.

Again, simple arithmatic tells us that 7 days after the 15th ends on the 22nd, 15 + 7 = 22.

By the way simple arithmatic tells us that 15 - 7 = 8. And also 22 + 7 =29.

Hence this calendar of the second month that they came out of Egypt, the four shabats are 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.

Also simple arithmatic tells us that the new moon day has a number assigned to it as numeral "1", and the name is attached as "New Moon".

The 8th day is shabat, a worship day. The 7th day is the sixth work day, the 6th day is the fifth work day, the 5th is the fourth work day, the 4th is the third work day, the 3rd is the second work day, the 2nd is the first work day, and the 1st is the New Moon day, a day to come and assemble and worship our Creator, a day outside of, and not one the week days. Ezekiel 46:3. Isaiah 66:23. Week days have numbers, as well as a moon day number. e.g. the 15th day of the moon is the 2nd Seventh day Shabat of the lunar cycle, and the 16th is the 1st work day ... and the 7th day after these work days is the 22nd day of the moon and the 3rd 7th day shabat.  In the "moonth" each day is fixed, never varies, as does the calendar hanging upon the wall, and programmed into computers.

New Moon Day is called His Holy Day, His Quodesh Day in Isaiah that we are promised a Big Blessing if we obey those words of how He is pleased for us to keep It.

Ezekiel 46:3

3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before Yahovah in the sabbaths and in the new moons.

Isaiah 66:23

23 And it shall come to pass, [that] from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith Yahovah.

Isaiah 66:24

24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against Me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

How did they transgress against Him? verse 23 suggests to us, that they reject His Fourth Commandment, and are outside the city and suffer eternal loss.

Watch (for the) coming (of) day, the new moon, to consecrate it Six days shalt thou labor and do all your work, and the seventh day is a shabat unto Yahovah thy Elohim. Exodus 20

He is Infinite in Wisdom and Knowledge and Understanding.

He lets us rest on these most powerful gravitational phase shifts between the sun moon earth, a powerful alignment of the magnetic portals of these great large massive bodies, planet earth - moon - sun. Fourth shabat the 29th the moon is coming close to conjunction, then new moon is conjunction, first shabat is the moon at a right angle, second shabat is the full moon, third shabat moon is at a right angle.

Exodus 16:35 They ate manna forty years.

The lunar calendar is a fixed calendar, every day of every week has the same number assigned to it regardless which moon it is of the year.

And also the moon stands outside of the weekly cycles, it is not one of the six work days, neither is it ever fallen onto a sabbath day, as illustrated by Ezekiel 46:1.

Ezekiel 46:1

1 ¶ Thus saith Yahovah Elohim; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

They left Egypt of the 14th day of the 1st moon, after midnight, before shabat "because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual" Ex. 12:39 This shows that night follows the day, the day of the 14th, and shabat begins at sunrise, and the sacred time ends at sunset, when they prepared quails to eat.

Deuteronomy 16:1

1 ¶ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto Yahovah thy Elohim: for in the month of Abib Yahovah thy Elohim brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.

Exodus 13:3

3 And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahovah brought you out from this [place]: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

Exodus 13:4

4 This day came ye out in the month Abib.

Exodus 12:39

39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

The lesser light in verse 16 Gen. 1 is the moon, which alone assigns moon day numbers to every day. Week day numbers are assigned 1-7, four weeks are in each moon.

Genesis 1:14

14 ¶ And Elohim said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Genesis 1:15

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

Genesis 1:16

16 And Elohim made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also.

Genesis 1:17

17 And Elohim set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

Genesis 1:18

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and Elohim saw that [it was] good.

Genesis 1:19

19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
